3rd time boarding this season!

I was determined to work on my toe-side while boarding down. However, I didn't get as much practice as I would have liked since I tackled another new obstacle... the Blue hill... I fell a lot this time and my thighs are killing me (I was breaking all the way down the blue hill) ugghhh...

But despite all the pain I had a ton of fun. It was the perfect day for snowboarding with equally perfect company. Ronnie, Byron and Em :)

It was a great time and Ronnie and I made 9 runs (3 of which were on the blue hill) We had finished off the perfect trip with A&W... Wahh... the Papa burgers were SOOOOOO good :) I love the 2 for 1 deals, the rootbeer and the sweet treats they gave us.

I wouldn't mind going again... and getting night tickets :)

Happies~

Snowboarding twice in 2 weeks :D

First time boarding this season was at Horseshoe with James, Alan, Esther, Chris, Will, Jeff and Em!

I think it was the perfect way for me to start the season, since the runs are shorter it allows me to practise without getting too scared.. or so I thought... Surprisingly, I had picked up where I left off last season, and riding down that hill with my heels was almost second nature~ We also had very nice snow... Even though Em complained it was a little too sticky and the boards weren't gliding down as smoothly... Downer was that everyone skied, except for Em, Jeff and I so we didn't get to see much of the rest of the group, but we did meet up once and a while and had some good laughs :) Another thing was that Ronnie and Byron were at Blue instead of Horseshoe ughh... Last minute change of plans :(

The evening ended with us having dinner/snack at Richmond court, and food is always a good thing :)

The second time around we went to Blue Mountain. Again, the weather was flawless, but everyone tried out snowboarding. Unfortunately, Alan's arch and Will bad knee prevented them from snowboarding and they want back to skiing like maniacs down the hill! hehe... It was fun. It seems Chris had a natural talent with boarding. James, like me, was excellent on our heels... but not so much the toes! In fact, Em had to help us train a bit near the end... I am now comfortable toeing my way down :) Looking forward to more improvement this season. I kind of don't want the winter to end... However, I can do without the snow in the city... hehe...

Snowboarding Season on its way!

Blue Mountain opens this coming weekend and Em's already thinking about going! But I'm really excited and I want to go! also I want to try out Mont-Orford near Magog where Daddy works! Its close enough to Wong Tong restaurant so that we can snowboard all morning, run for food around noon and continue with it until 4.... Kinda sad that they don't have night skiing tho... :(

Updates about recent days...

Over the weekend we finally... (drum roll) waxed and put the bindings on my pretty snowboard!! We are SOOOOO ready for the Tremblant trip!

Another thing is I took apart and put together my first computer! and guess what? It works fine... Except for the mobo's capatibility with the two diff RAM type... we're good! lols...

....and also got snow tires put into the corolla, feel so safe~:D ( I don't know where to put this but it's important update soo... I'm sticking this comment right here... )
But... the MOST exciting thing is....

Em and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary! :D I made him dinner (prep the shrimp and smoked salmon salad, and cooked carbonara pasta for him!) Emmery got me a beautiful watch and added a new member to our constantly growing family... Griffin! :D Another penguin in the family... Pengy was not too happi... but he will learn to accept him as he did with Miffy!

Coinciding with our anniversary on the 15th, was the company lunch. Ronnie and I managed to finish baking the cookies and building the gingerbread house just in time for the party... Everyone loved them, and the party room was stunning, people loved it~ I feel like I accomplished so much, the look on people's face was very rewarding. SOOO happi abt it :D

Snowboarding Season!

I am estatic, eagerly anticipating for snowboarding season to commence! Until that moment, I didn't really think that I was going to snowboard... but now it feels real~ Lately people has been scaring me silly warning that it will be difficult and that I'd hurt myself. We also inquired about the butt-pad (em warned me it will hurt a lot when I fall...) I'm not tooo crazy about them tho, they look like fitted grownup diapers... haha... I still have a long way to go to them... I think ^_^
(side) note: I know that it is NOT a guitar...
