Fun-filled weekend~~

It's been a while since I've had such a busy but fun weekend~~

I had a little time to myself Saturday morning and afternoon, then in the evening we ran a few errands and head over to a friend's house warming party (our first). Hung out with some old friends and made a few new ones~ Here's some pictures :)

Sunday was also packed. We went trampolining for Mel's birthday, then head over to Boston Pizza for lunch. Went home, napped, then dinner and spent some time with the family :) Trampolining was very tiring, but I think we might go again...

Little surprise...

My friend returned from his 5 weeks long trip in India and bought back souvenirs... Mine was this wonderful mini Taj Mahal inside a snow globe. It's perfect :)

I have not owned a snow globed in over 18 years. The last one I had was a mini purple snow globe with a doll in the middle (which I had promptly broken after a show and tell in grade 2...)

I find them amusing and so mystical... Thanks Nak Nak :)

Friendship

A genuinely good friend is one of those people that is HARD to come by. Always remember to cherish your precious ones~

Settlers of Catan

First thing in the morning I tell people at work about playing Catan, they immediately assumed it was a "Chinese" game... Upon research it is discovered to be a GERMAN game created in 1995...

Anyways... It was cuthroat again last night :| the good thing is that the girls stuck together! Ronnie and I came VERY close to winning at 9 points. Longest Road + 1 city + 5 settlement + 1 victory point :) Nerdstar! But it was still fun!

Also, Ronnie and I took a bunch of booth pictures with my iPod!! Lots of goofy pictures, however I need to be selective and put all the 'showable' ones together, so we'll see when I get to it!! I wonder if it can be done on the ipod~ Actually, I'm really enjoying my Apple just because of how convenient it is to download and install things, although yesterday was my first time being 'caught' downloading an illegal version of a calendar app by its producer :( sad!!! I really liked the app...Sometimes I wish I wasn't so cheap... XD maybe I will pay for the app... maybe... haha...

True Friends

True friends are hard to find.
At times I'm not even sure they existed...
But then this magical week came along.
and I'm a believer now.
A true friend will always accept you for who you are.
and never expect you to be who you are not.
A true friend will be able to weather through the good times
and stay strong for you through the bad.
If you fall, you will find them ready to catch you.
A true friend will laugh at the stupid things you do with you.
A true friend will always care.

Popeyes + Stephen Chow + BBT

Simple things can bring MUCH joy :)

I have to say that watching Stephen Chow's old movies, eating Popeyes' chicken and sharing a bottle of Gingerale with baby was my perfect moment :) 

To make this evening even better after we finished the movie we rushed to BBT to meet up with James, Alan and Will :) Fun times... tho I have to admit, there was too much testosterone (we talked about guns, porn and gorey stuff) 

I missed Ronnie... Well!! looking forward to next week!!

Catan

I thought I had a blog about Settler's of Catan.. but I guess not!! anyways.... We played it on Sat with Wylon, Byron, Ronnie, Em and I... It was quite fun XD When Em won at the end we found out how close everyone else was.. but what an intense game! It went on for about 3 hours! Em had both the longest road and the most thieves!! Fun game, but we still prefer Carcassonne!~

Friday night we went downtown for some drinks with eM's colleagues~ It was fun! Everyone was so nice even though I didn't know any of them yet... It was fun to meet new people. :) Actually it was a weekend of meeting new ppl in general. I have finally meet Ruth's boyfriend Sunday night.... We had dinner, a few drinks, shot pool and played Jenga while drinking bubble tea... Two successful nights which was uber fun, loaded with laughter and happy happy feelings...
The only weird looks I earned were from my best friend Sahan...


Spring brings a new leaf and new beginnings~

BBT, birthday cake for grandma and Medieval Times!

Happy Birthday Grandma! This is the first time in years since we got to celebrate my grandma's birthday! Big feast! lots of yummy food and Em got grandma a mango mousse :D So good! :D

I love going to Oasis... and we meet up with some wonderful people (Cat and Sahan) for some snacks. I've been craving for bbt, although next time I think I will stick to the honeydew... or just plain grape black tea... no tapioca or litchi jelly for me! Em got a little wierd... hehe....

For our 11th month Em took me to Medieval Times! Omg... it was an unforgettable experience! Our blue raspberry loaded with 1/4 vodka started our night. We had soup and bread (yum yums)... Another cool thing we noted was the fact that the menu was printed on the napkins... we bought some wetnaps just in case they don't provide them... I had no idea I was going to be served 1/2 a chicken! Apperantly I wasn't Canadian enough, cuz the 10 year old kid beside me finished it and the rest of his meal! Gosh! If I only knew I'd trained the day before and stuff myself silly so my tummy would be expanded~ LoLs... the ribs was also excellent. I want to go back again :D Maybe when Alex and Bonnie are over for the week we'll take them there! ^_^ Evil cousin with her own agenda! lols... We were cheering for our Yellow Knight, who happened to be Em's old jits buddy from grade 9! small world~ :D The week ended off with us just bumming around the house... Good way to unwind... just wish there ws MORE time...

At the hospital yesterday... for the stupid ear thing! I just hate it when Mommy's right... cuz then you really hope you'd listen to her when she 'told you so.' Yeps it was the Tuesday I get my 'needle injection' cuz of my own rebellion in 2006. Still suffering! haha... here's a picture taken from the seat while waiting for the doctor.

Today I didn't end up going to do Zumba, but Mom, Ronnie and I all went to steam... It felt sooo good :D Afterwards, Sahan picked me up and we went to Oasis... I was really disappointed with the raman... tasted horrible T^T will only order rice from now on!

Look at how goofy Sahanie-boi looked! haha... I told you I was going to post the pictures up ^_^ I'm so glad that we finally get a chance to sit and chat 1 on 1. It was very entertaining, I just wish that there is something more I could do...

Anyways... not really gonna write much for today.... just wanted to post sth up for this fun day... and.... here's Pengy's surprise for Em!

Typical day at work just doing some documents and filing... was tired and got home to take a nap only to be awaken by em so i can fill up 10 mins of his time while he waits for someone to finish shopping... afterwards i couldn't go back to sleep i just started playing a bit of computer games before heading down for dinner...

at 8pm I meet up witn Ronnie and we tried for our first time since we joined the gym to do body jam... totally not the class for me i was soo unco-ordinated that i keep tripping over myself! wahhhh... no more for me.... however the leg workout and the eliptical was good... i felt like i am ready to start preping for snowboarding this winter.... got so excited talking about it Ronnie... we chatted most of our time there which made me realized some things...

1) Ronnie is an amazing friend, I am soooooo lucky to have meet her.
2) I need to find time for myself.
3) I really don't need fair-weather friends.
