Ecowater FDM @ Delta

Some picture of dinner Tuesday night... The food was excellent!!!

We had a movie (documentary of the Great Lakes)
Cookies with our Logo's on it... These were served at our business meeting the next day...

NCIX Sat morning (Door Crasher FAIL!!!)

NCIX has a new store that opened this morning in Scarborough at 9:30.... unfortunately... we were at the wrong store and read the poster wrong... by the time we got to the right one (at around 10ish) the line up was down the street... We decided to try the one in Markham before 11, but they were around the corner too... soo... we gave up... after investing 2 hours in the morning... back to sleep!

ooh side note.... I found out that I had a strand of hair that split in 10 different places... Note to self... NEVER PERM hair that were straightened twice already...

TGIF!

:D Cannot wait for the weekend... Although not much planned yet... Am looking forward to some cooldown time and de-stress... although it might have to wait for the shopping/shooting range days in October...

omg... I'm gonna be 26 soon... Feeling so old!! bleh!!

Ohhoohh!!! I got this TVB drama ( 宮心計, yea I know I'm lagging behind...) anyways! I don't want to start watching yet because I might get addicted... Will have to wait for next Monday before I start... I think it will be a good way to unwind :)

Catan

I thought I had a blog about Settler's of Catan.. but I guess not!! anyways.... We played it on Sat with Wylon, Byron, Ronnie, Em and I... It was quite fun XD When Em won at the end we found out how close everyone else was.. but what an intense game! It went on for about 3 hours! Em had both the longest road and the most thieves!! Fun game, but we still prefer Carcassonne!~

Paper soap~

Em and I were shopping around Zeller's when we tumbled upon something VERY interesting... paper soap!! The concept is unique and very cute ;) Remember those times when you went to wash your hands but there is no soap??? Worry no more, paper soap to the rescue! haha~

Look at how thin the sheets are!!! I still have to test them out.... :)

A date @ Milestone :)

For our 21st month together... eM took us out to Milestone for a 'date' night! It was not quite as interesting as that of Steve Carrell and Tina Fey, but at least we were able to finish our mushrooms XD
I tried the Milestone Ultimate Bellini for the first time... and it was SOOOO good!!! It even had Donkey on it(Donkey tried to bite eM's humongoid finger... FAIL) haha.... he tried the Raspberry Mojito... it was a bit sour for me, but it was still good :)
The artichoke + spinach dip was also pretty good too... (Please note... this is the first time Em and I ordered food and did not over order.. so we finished everything!! and was stuffed )

For entrée, I had my medium rare top sirloin (with a side of yummilicious mushrooms XD) and he had the chicken spring salad.. Both were delicious! I was surprised at how juicy the chicken was for the salad. I don't think I enjoy the cut as much, because it is not as tender as the prime rib or ribeye that I usually prefer... Albeit it was still very tasty, and having it cooked at 'almost medium rare' was a good thing :)
We finished off with.. (drum roll) The Cookie! OMG it was SOOO good, because the cookie was warm and mixed with the vanilla gelato (I think...) it was a very good mix! I'm normally not a big chocolate fan, because I find it too sweet, but i think the fact that it felt like 'freshly' baked cookie made a difference! This had definately made the dinner that much more memorable...

of course.... it all depends on who you share it with ;)

Congrats to SiSi + Dom!

Attended Sisi and Dom's wedding this weekend! It was quite an experience... first time helping out in a wedding~~ for some reason I had thought that weddings just come together effortlessly before the actual event... I was wrong! It's a lot of work and we weren't even in the bridal party... All the packing, unpacking, setting up, organizing... omg! the list of little things to do seemed endless.. but it was rewarding and fun!! the wedding went smoothly after all guests arrived... around 8:30.... Casa Victoria Fine Dining was a beautiful place to hold the wedding... although, I didn't take many pictures... hopefully Elaine or Lisa took some ^_^

The only picture I snapped of the newly weds that night.. This was during their first dance
It was my first 'family' wedding as an adult. It was quite different :) Em's cousin, Carson is getting married March 2011... so looking forward to that!

Section for some pretty yummys!

AWESOME wedding cake :) I really liked the icing...

I know the last two pictures aren't edible.. but this is another one of my FAILs... lemme explain:  the first pic of the plate was my attempt to take a pic of 'us'... the camera didn't go on until I was looking on the screen... I was trying to take a picture like the second one...but the plate is close enough to eM's face... right? XD Thanks for reading this far! haha..

Going Bananas!!

<3 first time having a healthy fruit at work... in 18 months ~ haha..

Yeps, just wanted to post this up and see some reactions!~ XD

"Too Much Happiness"

So I had a preview of Rose's blog and decided to blog about a book I'm catching up on called "Too Much Happiness" and I have to say... It's a very depressing book so far... This book contains several short stories narrated by different women...I'm not sure if they are separate from each other or if it all comes together in the end... and I'm also not sure if I will be able to finish this book since it is a little too dark and depressing... Kinda reminds me of the book Em got me for Valentines Day last year called "A Thousand Splendid Suns." It was a touching story, but a little too sad~~ I think I'm much more into the happy, romance stuff... I get too attached to the character and it feels like when they suffer, I'm suffering with them...

On a brighter note... There are other books thats I'm working on such as "Rich Dad, Poor Dad", "What the Dog Saw", "Who Ordered this Truckload of Dung" and Mitch Albom's "Have a Little Faith." From the bookmarks in these books... I think I will most likely finish Rich Dad Poor Dad by 2011, but I'm not sure about the other ones... -_- I need to invest more time in my books!

Camping Labour Day Weekend~

I've never gone camping in my entire life.. this was a first, and I must say that it was quite different from what I was expecting. For some reason, I keep forgetting that 'Summer' officially ends on this weekend and that it would be very cold... Needless to say, I was under packed, and unprepared for the cold weekend up ahead!

Friday: at work we had company pizza lunch and then watched 'The Commitments' with everyone in the boardroom... Then at 3pm we got off work and I was about to start my camping trip! I picked up Jeff first and waited for Em to get off work, so we can get ready to go... but there were so much stuff we were missing that.... we didn't leave for Algonquin until 9:30pm... The drive was dreadful with many popos! Took us until 1am to get to Algonquin area and another 45 minutes to get to our site! But man... were the stars amazing and we saw the Milky Way... :) If we didn't get lost that first night, I might never have discovered the beauty of the night sky...

Saturday: Woke up to scrambled eggs and peameal bacon! our Day 1 at camp was wet and unplanned.. Due to my own stupidity I did not bring anything that was waterproof and therefore could not go out on walks for the lack of proper attire.... so what we end up doing for most of the afternoon was play Phase 10 with Ronnie, Byron, James, Jeff, Em and I! After a quick nap everyone (excluding Em the Napper) was playing Mafia... Byron was doctor 3 times... James was doctor twice... and Alan was killer 4 times!! It was very fun, until we (Ronnie and I... and our boys) were volunteered to make quesadilla dinner... Ronnie did most of the cooking, while the rest of us did the cutting and prep the food (or get the fire started) The night ended with everyone sleeping early... the only people who stayed until 1am for the fire + drinks were Em, Jeff, James and I.... :) the sky was beautiful tonight too...

Sunday: We are always the last one out of our tent, cuz I guess we outlast everyone else the night before... Anyways... We had soup and hot dogs for brunch today... and we were way ahead of schedule for kayaking, so we spent quite a bit of time playing some more Mafia... I like the game and the townspeople continue to have a knack for killing the doctor... I don't know why... Anyways.... the much anticipated Kayak/Canoe was at 1:30 and we packed 9 people in Em's minivan... man... I can feel the car being 'MUCH' heavier than anticipated! But we all got there fine! We got on our kayaks and immediately began paddling towards the closest island... we had a mini adventure and toured the island. It was quite interesting. Afterwards we meet up with the rest of the canoe people and went around in circle trying to decide if we should portage... Majority voted against it because it would be at least a .5 km walk with a heavy canoe/ kayak on our back + rain... Anyways, soon after we were caught in a mini rain storm so we went back to shore and now 10 people fitted into eM's minivan on our way back to the site... I think we can run a business smuggling people across the border... haha... jk.... After a hot dog and a 3 hour nap we woke up to find out that it has been 'decided' that we will not be having pasta dinner and will munch on the snack as a meal... Ronnie and I volunteered to cook the pasta if Alan will do the dishes... and so we proceed to cook... At 10 pm, dinner was finally ready... and the boys held their end and did the dishes... :) Once again we stayed up until 2 am, but with a slightly bigger group, addition of Alan, Chris and Will... :) We drank until Jeff was tipsy!

Monday: Had late breakfast of ham and sandwich and croissants. Then played a bit of Beach volley ball (minus the beach) with Alan's car doing the most save :) Great way to use up extra energy from the trip... :) We stopped by Hunstville for lunch, but since the place that Alan picked was ubber packed, people in our car decided to go to a different local restaurant (Louis II Restaurant & Tavern.) I think that the calamari and escargot was excellent (we had extra cheese and escargots) and the Club sandwich was yummy too with very crispy, but awesome bacon. For 2 delicious appetizers, a sandwich + large portion of fries and 2 drinks we only paid $35 (tips included) Would go again if we head up that way again.... :) A hearty meal is a great way to end an unforgettable weekend :)
