Another weekend of shopping!

Grove City Premium Outlet + Millcreek Mall = lots of shopping!

The past weekend I went shopping with our usual group + two newbies and shopped to our hearts content for two days. I didn't buy much (other than makeup) but I did pick up a cute pair of earrings and a unique ring from Wendell August...

These are made from aluminium, hence are light and non-allergenic :) I really love them and are in fact wearing both today!
Boys will be boys. Even though it was a shopping trip they found time to goof around :)
parking lot at Best Western playing with rocket nerf gun
@ Wal-Mart playing with kids toy again!!
There was a pet store at the mall with some very CUTE pets... I had to take a pictures of these cuties, I wish I could bring them home!!!!

Note on the makeup shopping. It is definately better to shop for makeup with another girl :) You get more input and encouragement... of course that also means its more painful for your wallet XD

E.L.F. makeup haul!

Yay Yay! I just got my first ELF order!!! soo happy! although I haven't used any of the products yet, I did get to see them!!

I'm loving the feeling of the brushes! I got the face Kabuki, the Complexion brush and finally the Eye shadow brush! I love the feeling of the first two, but I'm feeling partial on the shadow brush. Just needs to test them out to really give some proper comments.
I got 2 corrector compacts, an eye primer, a hiliter/concealer and a concealer pen. All these are my first time exposure (except for the eye primer) so we will see my progress as 'I learn' to use them :) + I also got the Cleansing Cloths, which i'm looking forward to since my M.A.C. ones are running out....
Also, there is 3 E.L.F. blushes, however, the 'Tickled Pink' isn't pink, and the 'Peachy Keen' is not peach... hmm.... we'll see how they look. I do need to say though, I like the blush & bronzer, cuz it looks very pretty!

Finally, I'm looking forward to trying the "Nymph Dreams" and "Glam" eye shadows cuz they look lovely!

Can't wait to try them out :)
The weekend is looking GOOD! :)

-----

Updated after I got home and tried all the new products (well almost all)

I LOVEEEE the two Studio brushes I got. They were sheer awesomeness~! Felt really nice applying the makeup on my face. They are both Must-Have brushes! The E.L.F. Kabuki is even better than the Quo and Estee Lauder ones I have... and it was only for $2.50 (with discount!) Bargain indeed!

I tried the Peachy Keen blush, which was recommended by Wing, aka MakeupDivaQueen... and she was right! the blush goes on so nice and natural, giving us Asian (the cursed ones with yellow tint....) a very natural-looking glow. I personally loved it... :)

The eyeshadow was also another win! I really liked the teal + gold colour, cuz it makes my eyes pop out very nicely... still subtle, yet very different.... I also added a little bit of pink on the edge. I find that the E.L.F. lid primer pretty good, I'm not sure how comparable it is to the Urban Decay, but the colours are brighter and I saw no creasing in the 4 hours I had it on... Decent primer and lovely colours for the shadows =)

and that's it for now.... need to get some much needed sleep~~ zzzzZzZzzzzz...

Tuesday meet~

Every Tuesday, four people meet at the same place to discuss about the world, politics and the meaning of life...
RIGHT... but that's not our story... it goes a bit more like...

Four nerds enter the world of Carcasonne, Euchre, Jenga, Phase 10 and other board/cards games every Tuesday drinking bubble tea and snacking on club sandwiches... :)
We actually do more stuff.. like plan our camping trip, white water rafting and even shopping!!
I'm glad I have great friends to hang out with... =) This past Tuesday we had a special guest join us! Em... :)
Side note: Ronnie got me some pretty NYX cupcake gloss... they were SOOO cute!!! smaller than I expected, but they smell lovely (kinda very similar in scent) I want to use them bute like Ronnie, I dont have the heart to use them yet! they look tooo precious!
oh.. and I haven't had a chance to blog much lately cuz i've been busy with SC2~~~ :P

New makeup addition!

MAC's Blot Powder-Pressed in medium!
So far after 1 application the normally oily-T-zone is.... oil-free! it goes on translucent and just takes away the shine! Found it quite strange that I'm removing the shine on the face but putting glittery eye shadows... hmm... does my eyes pop out more now?! hehe...
Yesterday I also purchased the Quo 'Definer Shadow Brush." Combining with the brushes from before I tried to apply on some 'corpse bride' make up with the blue/black eye shadows over my right eye. I used the new brush and the All Over Eye Shadow brush as well as the Eye Smudger brush... it was FUN! my Mom loved it... ^_^ Mommy always so supportive... well.. sometimes.. haha...
So yea... all in all it was a fun day to go shopping with my Mom, try some new makeup stuff... :) Happiii!

Bag of goodies!

After months (actually it's been a whole year) I finally found the perfect combination of goodies (makeup.) This is what's in my makeup bag these days... I finally got the Urban Decay eye primer that has received so many good reviews. From Clinique I've found several things I like which includes the: Moisture Surge, Bronzer, eye concealer and blemish concealer, but my FAVOURITE piece is still the High Impact Curling Mascara... It is oil-proof and is removed with warm water... Having very oily skin, the raccoon eyes have always been a big issue for me! Also for the lips I'm using Mary Kay's lip balm, I already love the color of my lips, but I can do without the chap lips ^_^ There is a Smashbox highliter that is currently my fave, cuz the peachy colour is just right!! and the Lise Watier cream eyeshadow is also awesome.... :) and this is my list!

Renewed love for makeup!

Another sleepless night and wet pillow. *bleh* my eyes are swollen with a big bag under each eye... Thankfully someone invented concealers!

After 30 minutes of eye cream + concealer + foundation + eye shadow + whatever makeup to cover up the mess on my face from the previous night... I look refreshed and awake!

:) To do this it really helps to have a gazillion choices (thanks for my makeup shopping spree!) I can attempt any look that I want... My fave isl the extremely easy to apply cream eyeshadow palette from Lise Watier... theres 6 colours that you can easily blend to make new shades! I find that the golden colour realy helps brighten my eyes! Add a dab of copper colour and i can easily match my outfit! another must have is the Clinique eye concealer + eye cream! Really helps reduce the look of my puffs! oooh another thing I learner is that it doesn't hurt to define those brows a bit, since it bring more attention to them and away from the dark circles... :)

Something new

Until very recently I have not used blushes... I am too afraid of over-applying it and end up looking like a monkey's butt... But then recently I got more into makeup and I decide to give it a try.... and now I love it! It gives colour since i always feel that foundation 'flatten' my face and makes me lose my 'natural' blush... We all want rosy cheeks and now I'm learning how to create them... at will! :D

Loveeeeee my makeup!!! *reapplies makeup...* (jk) :D

Halloween soon! :D

Mood: tummy pain T^T
Thought: I'm ready for Halloween!
~~~~~
Since there's no Halloween party this year I decided to dress up for it at work... today! This means I had to wake up 45 mins earlier to prep for the makeup... It took me nearly an hour of work! The first picture on the bottom was taken because I can't see without my glasses.... and I wanted to check to make sure my foundation was applied evenly. Then the second picture was taken at work with my dress... I was going for the 'marionette' look... but it seems I look more like a vampire T^T maybe I should do a full lip instead... oh well... Now I'm looking at the makeup... I'm worried that the eyeliner won't come off and my skin would just absorb it all... lols.... I guess I will find out tonight! On a brighter note... I got some treats from Al and Mel :D I'm happy~
Wknd Oct 23-25
Setting: Gloomy looking day at work....
Mood: feeling bleh (like most mondays at work)
Thought: I really need to stop shopping!
~~~~~
Friday night I didn't end up going out or anything. Just went and got the satelite receiver and set it up with Bell. Em didn't get to Mississauga until 9pm. By then he was sooooo tired... So we just cuddled and stayed home for the night...

Sat we watched the movie 'Sex Drive' and then went shopping with Mom at Dixie Outlet Mall... it was packed! I have never gone shopping there but there is some really good deals especially at Guess! I have never spent less than 100$ there and gotten 6 piece of cloths! what a bargain~ worked out to be 10$ each~ :D sooo happi~ Also found out that there's this meat and cheese place there... must try it out next time cuz it smelled amazing! If only they have them at Sq1! Afterwards went home for dinner before heading out to Aunties place so Em can help her setup her camera to update to the earliest version. We then proceed to Shoppers where I purchased my first 19$ aqua eyeliner! crazi expensive, but as proven on Sunday, well worth it... the color was beautiful!

What's in my makeup bag: sample mascara and makeup remover from Lancome, Clinique's concealing stick, Sephora lip gloss, compact mirror, crystal nail file, oil-removing paper and my new Make Up for Ever aqua eyeliner!! :D

After an hour of shopping at Shoppers we zoomed our way to AMC to watch Cirque du Freaks: The Vampire's Assistant. I thought it was going to be more comical, but it is sooo dark and it seems to be more geared towards younger adults... bleh~ 25 isn't young anymore! T^T The night ended off with us having pho on Dundas before going back to RH.

(my bowl of pho! small but filling and satisfying!!)

Sunday was the National Women's Show. It was sooo fun! :D did a lot of sampling, and shopping. Em and his mom and sis and I was just walking for hours non stop! there was so much stuff to eat and try and buy. It was different and I liked it :D However when we got home Em and I passed out shortly after watching the newest Family Guy (side note: this ep was totally untasteful~ bleh~ I didn't get the jokes at all...) We went for dinner after and the rest of the night was uneventful~

Some pictures from the National Women's Show.
Pic 1: taken at aisle 800 where the Cold FX booth was...
Pic 2: I got those pretty flowers from http://pickontario.ca/
Pic 3: All I have to say is that it is an interesting strawberry... can you guess what it's for?
Pic 4: Free sample of Calmato - virgin Caesar! SOOOOOO good ^_^ Didn't know I like tomato juice until I tried it... hint: never say you don't like something until you've tasted it! :D
The End... (haha...)

New Obesession - Makeup!

Setting: Sunny with some clouds~
Mood: Still in long-weekend mode!~
Thought: I want to do some serious shopping for... makeup!

~~~~~
Lately I've been crazy shopping for makeup!! It started all in May... when I got my Clinique stuff.... and its been out of hand!
I started with simple skincare products, I mean your skin has to be healthy looking and acne free then you won't need anytyhing else... right??
--- WRONG ---
It triggers a new set of reactions... I started with looking at the different types of foundations then concealers, eye shadows, eyebrow pencils, mascara, eye shadow primers, eye shadow palettes, blushes...
I learned more about makeup in the past 5 months than I ever thought I'd want to. But it has been interesting... after going on youtube and checking out a how-to-do makeup (actually that started when Dana started showing me all these looks on youtube) I got really hooked onto Michelle Phan's work. She's amazing! I learned quite a bit from her. Though it has been Ronnie and Cat who's been shopping and looking at stuff with me (not to forget eMmm.)
Need to stop and start saving!
This was purchased on the 16th at Sephora.... I'm totally in love with the different colors and the endless possibility of looks it can achieve!
